biz!

and now we bring you the next installment of….. biz! biz is 9 months old now, and she just keeps getting cuter and cuter. i’m really loving seeing our smitten babies every few months! <3

i just had to add in what her mom betsy said to me yesterday on google chat when i told her i was getting her blog post together. it was just so sweet!

Betsy: sooo pumped!! it’s like opening a christmas present every time i get to see your work!!!Betsy: i’m being serious! and it’s a present that i know will be really good–not like an afghan or underwear from your grandma!

in case you missed it….. we are so thrilled and honored to be a part of colorati’s ichat interview series (chatorati is the new terminology i believe, thanks to @zakschwank!). “what is this colorati?” you may ask. well…  we discovered colorati this year when the wediting (that’s right, editing wedding pics) had smitten pulling its hair out. we sent out an s.o.s. and colorati swooped in and saved our sanity. photographer who is reading this, yes you there… if your editing has you in over your head, please, do yourself a favor (not to mention your clients and all the good people who have to be around you) and check out colorati’s services on their site.  and then check it again in a few days, because they’re launching a new site soon!  so anyway, click on the pic to watch the interview!!

shoeboxes for haiti!

attention all readers of the smlog.  if you’ve been around for a while, you probably already know our former assistant and smister, brianna.  if you need a refresher, you can see her senior shoot here.  AND you should know kaitlyn, our current assistant.  she can be seen here.  they have taken it upon themselves to head up collecting shoeboxes for haiti as part of the organization Shoebox 4 Haiti.  just fill a shoebox (or small tupperware container) with supplies and ship it to:

Just want to clarify does all the bottles and tablets need to be newly bought ones and in date? Im thinkin of putting a blog on my intranet at work to get some more people involved then sort out the boxes and send them to you, is there anything else i need to know? steve and brooke had THE best band for their reception!  wiser than fools from tallahassee. they. were. AWESOME!
