this blog is SMITTEN!

i’m back from new york!  it was a whirlwind trip.  i’ll be blogging about it soon.  my phone fried on the way to new york so i’ve been out of touch for over a week and apparently greta’s eyeball exploded or had a flesh eating disease or something crazy while i was gone.  whew.  so this week’s smitten with monday will be a little short.  thanks for the patience, concern, well wishes, etc.  we love you guys.  seriously.

we’re smitten with:

*family.  i can’t tell you how much this trip meant to me.  i got to spend time with family i haven’t gotten to spend time with since i was little.  i got to see pictures of my dad as a child and of his parents and grandparents.  i’d never seen pictures of my great grandparents and only one of my grandparents.  i can’t tell you what this meant to me.  i saw family records with my maiden name (rea) on them.  more rea’s!!!  also, i found out how you spell my italian name!  cinequemani!

*downsizing.  i’m currently working on making sure i keep my love of material things in check.  and i looooove to shop.  so.  yeah.  it’s difficult.  but we don’t have a lot of storage space in our home.  and we are currently really broke.  so i thought it was a good time to keep things in perspective.

*greta’s eyeballs.  turns out we need those.  well, her more than me.  but her eyeballs do play a part in my life.  haha

this week’s picture is of my best friend christie and i outside grand central station.  which if you’ve never seen, is beautiful.

this week is a very special edition of smitten with monday because it’s probably the most smitten with a monday i’ve been in a long time!  why you ask?  (what’s that you say?  you didn’t ask?)  well i’ll tell you anyway…i’m on my way to new york!!!!  i can’t even tell you how i feel about new york.  dear god i love it!  alicia keys & jay-z, frank sinatra… they spoke the truth about this magical city.  but before i left, i wanted to make sure i posted this week.  :)  see?  i care!

*simon rich’s book: free-range chickens.  it was a dollar at books a million on a sale rack and it was hilarious!  totally great find!

*moes!  do you people in other parts of the country have moes?  if not, i’m sorry.

*robert pattinson.  don’t judge me.  moving on…

*blush!  it’s a local boutique.  i don’t know what i’d do if blush didn’t exist.  oooh wait, i know.  have money!

*mani/pedis.  i always feel like a real girl afterwards.

*the iphone coming to verizon!  anyone feel me on this?

*yardwork.  well, not the work part.  but the getting a nice yard part?  totally smitten.

*ichat.  i witnessed greta’s cat b***h slap her.  it was hilarious!

*target!  dear sweet lord i love target.

*traveling!  i love to travel and we’re getting to do a good bit of it this year.

*sales.  like, 40% of clearance at the gap kind of sales.  or everything and its mama on sale at bath & body works.

*throw pillows.  i know that’s odd but i could go throw pillow crazy if i had more places to put them.

*the donut factory.  it’s the doughnut place literally behind my house.  yuuummmmm…..that’s all i’m sayin’.
